How to cancel your membership.

This guide will review the methods and alternatives to consider before ending your subscription and explain what happens after cancellation.

Before you cancel

Before ending your subscription, you may want to consider the following:

  • Your after-school services will end at the end of the billing period. For example: if you cancel on December 10 and your invoice cycle is usually due on the 15th of every month, your child can still attend until December 15th. You will not be charged after that point.

  • The membership plan rate you currently pay may no longer be offered to you after you cancel.

  • The discounts you currently receive may no longer be offered to you after you cancel.

  • You are releasing your child’s space in Legacy; therefore, the spot will be given to another family.

  • Re-enrolling is a process that may result in your child not being able to resume services immediately should space be limited or none available. Click here to visit our Reenrollment page for additional information.

Alternatives to consider

Before ending your membership subscription, consider the following options:

  • Place your account on a temporary 30-day hold if you only need a short suspension of care.

  • A hold will require you to pay for one month of service which will be held as a credit effectively holding your child’s spot in the program. This credit will need to be used after 30 days.

  • A temporary hold will have a $25 administrative fee.

  • Send an email directly to the Office of Membership Management & Program(OMMP) to request a hold. Email: membership@legacyafterschool.com Include your child’s, name school, and the situation in your email.

Refunds

It is important to understand our company policy for any end-of-membership concerns:

  • We don't offer refunds for monthly memberships.

  • We don’t prorate for unused care if you decide to cancel.

  • We cannot transfer unused time in a cycle month to another account, family member, or Legacy program in New York, Boston, or Legacy Europe. Further, transferring is not available to a summer camp program or visa versa.
